Film @ Meare

We are now running a filmmaking club on Thursdays after school where children have an opportunity to learn some tablet based filmmaking techniques. We will be looking at imovie, garageband, Do Ink green screening, stop motion animation and a range of apps to help create a number of short films.

Last term a team of filmmakers made a documentary called “Active Kids’ where they learnt how to shoot a ‘bullet time ‘ effect, the same effect used in the 1999 film, The Matrix, when a camera moves the audience 360 degrees around the shot. This was accomplished using 24 digital cameras and lots of camera operators and actors!

Other film projects have included films for the Summer Production Musicals
Oliver! Les Miserables, The Sound of Music and Bugsy Malone.
